It stands out from other Bertioga beaches, to stay in a virgin area without the presence of residential condominiums. In its left end flows into the Rio Itaguaré that gives the beach name and form a small estuary called Seca lagoon. The site is semi-desert, but on weekends and holidays is much sought after. Access is by Rio-Santos highway along the river bridge Itaguaré by a small dirt road. of Itaguaré
