Bathed by the Bay of All Saints and near the center of Salvador, the beach of Barra da Porto is an oasis of Salvador. The site has a small strip of sand and a wall that separates the avenue from the sea. Already on the edge, they are arranged several almond trees that provide shade to passers by. Several fishing boats are arranged on the horizon adding a peculiar beauty to one of the postcards of Salvador. The place is packed on weekends with many locals and tourists. It is one of the favorite beaches of tourists because it is near Fort of Santa Maria and San Diogo, the Church of Santo Antonio da Barra and the Church of Our Lady of Grace. From here you can view and walk to the Farol da Barra. The beach ends at the Fortress of Santa Maria and this stretch bathing is not recommended because of excess stones. The bay waters that are great for swimming because they are calm and pleasant temperature. However, considered one of the most beautiful beaches in the country, the site suffers from excess pollution from the urban area.
